DOPE Book Privacy Policy

The short version: DOPE Book does not collect, transmit, sell, rent, or store any of your data. Everything you record stays on your device and, only if you choose, in your own personal iCloud account.

1. Overview

DOPE Book (the "App," "we," "us," or "our") is a shooting and ballistics logging application published by [Your Name or Company Name]. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information. In plain terms, we do not gather anything about you. The records you create in the App belong to you and remain under your control at all times.

By downloading or using DOPE Book, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Age Requirement (Adults Only)

DOPE Book relates to firearms, marksmanship, and shooting range activity. The App is intended solely for adults who are 18 years of age or older, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if that age is higher. By downloading or using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement. The App is not directed to, and is not intended for use by, minors.

3. Information We Collect

We collect nothing. DOPE Book does not require an account, a login, an email address, or any registration. We do not operate servers that receive your information, and we do not gather personal data, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or device identifiers.

Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your name, email address, phone number, or contact information.
• Your precise or approximate location.
• Device identifiers such as the advertising identifier (IDFA) or any hardware ID.
• Usage, diagnostic, crash, or analytics data.
• The logs, firearm profiles, load data, environmental notes, or session records you enter into the App.

All information you create in DOPE Book is content that belongs to you and stays under your control.

4. How Your Information Is Processed and Stored

All data you enter into DOPE Book is processed and stored locally on your device. Calculations, records, and organization of your data happen on the device itself. Because we do not operate a backend service that receives your data, your information is never transmitted to us.

5. Location Services

DOPE Book may ask for permission to access your device's location so that you can use location-based features within the App, such as recording or tagging where a range session took place. Any location information is used only on your device and only for App functionality. It is not transmitted to us, and the App does not share it with any third party.

Granting location access is optional. You can allow or deny location access, or change your choice at any time, in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security > Location Services. Declining location access does not prevent you from using features of the App that do not depend on location.

6. iCloud Backup

DOPE Book gives you the option to back up your data using Apple's iCloud service. If you enable iCloud backup:

• Your data is stored in your own personal iCloud account, tied to your Apple ID.
• The backup lives on Apple's infrastructure, not on any server operated by us.
• We have no access to your iCloud account and cannot read, retrieve, or restore its contents.
• Apple's handling of your iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and iCloud Terms and Conditions, not by us.

You control iCloud entirely through your device. You can enable or disable iCloud for DOPE Book, and manage or delete iCloud data, in the iOS Settings app under your Apple ID > iCloud.

7. Tracking and Third-Party Services

DOPE Book does not track you. We do not use advertising networks, third-party analytics software development kits (SDKs), social media trackers, or cross-app tracking of any kind. Because the App does not track you across other companies' apps or websites, it does not present Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt.

The only third-party service the App can interact with is Apple's iCloud, and only if you choose to enable backups as described in Section 6.

8. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information, because we do not collect it in the first place. There is no data for us to disclose to advertisers, data brokers, or any other party.

9. Data Retention and How to Delete Your Data

Because we do not hold any of your data, there is nothing on our side to retain or delete. You are always in full control of the information you create in DOPE Book. You can remove your data at any time using any of the following methods:

• Delete individual entries or records from within the App.
• Delete the App from your device, which removes the data stored locally on that device.
• Manage or delete any iCloud backup in the iOS Settings app under your Apple ID > iCloud > Manage Account Storage, then select DOPE Book.

If you have questions about data deletion, you may contact us using the information in Section 13. Please note that we cannot access or delete data that resides only on your device or in your personal iCloud account, because we never receive it.

10. Children's Privacy

DOPE Book is intended for adults and is not designed for or directed to children. Consistent with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar laws, we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because the App collects no data at all, no personal information from any user, whether adult or minor, is gathered by us.

11. Security

Your information is protected by the built-in security of your Apple device, including your device passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS data protection. If you use iCloud backup, your data is protected by Apple's iCloud security and encryption practices. Because we never receive or store your data, it is not exposed to any breach of our systems.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect new App features or changes in legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after a change indicates your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
